We made our own version β creamy, tangy, a little sweet, totally yummy.
Then we put it over seasoned beef, cheese, pickles, onions, and lettuce.

(Makes 2 big bowls or 3 smaller ones)
The Burger Meat

1 pound ground beefΒ (80/20 is good β not too lean)

The Bowl Stuff

4 cups shredded lettuceΒ β iceberg is classic, but any works

1 cup cherry tomatoesΒ β cut in half

Β½ cup dill picklesΒ β chopped or sliced

Β½ cup red onionΒ β chopped small

1 cup shredded cheddar cheeseΒ β or American cheese torn into pieces

Sesame seedsΒ β for sprinkling on top (makes it feel like a Big Mac!)

1. Make the sauce
In a small bowl, mix together:

Mayonnaise

Ketchup

Sweet pickle relish

White vinegar
-
Sugar
-
Paprika
-
Onion powder
-
Garlic powder
Stir until smooth.
Taste it β does it need a little salt? Add a pinch if you want.
Put it in the fridge while you make everything else. This gives the flavors time to get friendly.
2. Cook the beef
Put a pan on the stove over medium-high heat.
Add the ground beef and break it up with a spoon.
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
Cook until it’s brown and cooked through β about 8β10 minutes.
Drain the grease if there’s a lot.
Set aside.
3. Get your bowl stuff ready
While the meat cooks, get your bowls ready:
